Quick analysis reduces additional costs
A company’s fire pump was immediately shut down after they discovered a water supply deficiency. This put the entire building and its occupants in danger as water could not be provided to area sprinkler systems or hydrant lines if a fire broke out. Aside from being dangerous, the equipment would sustain significant damage if it was called into action and no water was available. We advised the customer that an immediate underwater investigation of the pump line and a thorough clean up of the water source could rectify the situation and avoid possible equipment damage of over $150,000 or building damage of a further $50,000.

Zurich provided a full corrective action plan that detailed how to minimize risk using a monitored ULC security panel, installation of fire and smoke alarm as well as strategic placement of fire extinguishers.
