Zurich Canada appoints Laura Doddington as Executive Vice President, Retail

Toronto, ON, June 1 – Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (Canadian Branch) (Zurich Canada) today announced the appointment of Laura Doddington as Executive Vice President, Retail. 

The appointment follows the reorganization of Zurich Canada's business around two customer segments – Commercial and Retail – both led by Executive Vice Presidents. The Retail segment encompasses programs and MGAs, personal lines, and smaller businesses. The new structure reflects CEO Paul Jackson's vision to enable faster, local decision-making, invest in new segments, and to simplify how Zurich meets customers and broker partners in the market, particularly in segments requiring speed, tailored solutions, and stronger local relevance. Dane Hambrook, Executive Vice President, Commercial, leads the Commercial segment, including Large Property, Liability, Commercial Motor, Middle Market and Captives, and also coordinates Specialty Lines.

Based in Toronto, Doddington has more than 20 years of P&C experience across the UK and North American markets. She is an accomplished P&L leader who has held leadership positions across diverse areas of the business, including product management, pricing, marketing, and digital innovation.
