Skills and experience

As Head of Customer Management, David Tran works to serve and strengthen relationships with existing customers and develop new customer relationships, leveraging Zurich Canada’s industry expertise and strength of our products and services. He works closely with the heads of business lines and Zurich’s national account underwriters to identify opportunities and challenges in a rapidly changing market.

Prior to his current role, David served as Vice President, Regional Manager of Ontario, accountable for defining and executing the cadence of the Ontario branch activities to deliver on overall metrics while developing and managing ongoing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

David began his career as an Associate Underwriter in the Specialties space before moving on to more progressive underwriting and business development roles with several major insurers, including Liberty Mutual, Chubb and AIG.

Educational background

Tran holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration degrees from Carleton University.
