Denise Maw

Skills and experience

Denise Maw is the Head of Zurich Resilience Solutions Canada. Her main responsibility is to develop and provide risk management and loss prevention services to customers. Additionally, her team studies emerging risks and aims to take risk engineering and associated loss-control services to the next level, helping customers meet the challenges of risk management, safety, sustainability and ESG issues.

Maw was named to her current position in 2023. She joined Zurich in 2022 as vice president of field operations, where she was tasked with developing, executing, and monitoring national sales and operational strategies to align with overall business objectives.

Maw has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry in various roles such as underwriting, brokering, risk management, loss control claims, and business development.

Educational background

Maw holds a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation from the University of Toronto and a diploma in Human Resources Administration from Seneca College.
