Skills and experience
Jean Roy serves as the Head of Underwriting for Zurich Canada. He leads the team responsible for actuarial pricing, underwriting governance, technical training, proposition development and new opportunity incubation, as well as portfolio management and technical underwriting.
Roy brings more than 20 years of insurance industry experience to Zurich, with senior roles in Europe and Canada. Prior to joining Zurich, he was the Vice President of Pricing at TD Insurance and Senior Vice President Actuarial at Northbridge Insurance. He also held roles in strategic development and regional broker management at Aviva Canada.

Roy is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
Educational background
Roy is a graduate of Université Laval in Actuarial Science.
