As Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer for Zurich Canada, Elizabeth McSavaney leads the organization's people strategy in support of business growth, organizational performance, and transformation. She partners with the executive leadership team to build a high-performing, inclusive culture while advancing leadership capability, talent strategy, employee experience, workforce transformation, and AI-enabled HR practices.

McSavaney brings more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning the technology, public, consumer goods, and insurance sectors. Prior to joining Zurich, she served as Head of Human Resources (Canada and Bermuda) at AIG. Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership roles with Unilever, where she supported both Canadian and U.S. businesses and led large-scale North American transformation initiatives. She also held several senior Human Resources leadership positions with the Government of Canada and began her career in the technology industry, providing her with a strong foundation in business transformation and innovation.

McSavaney is a bilingual, Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) recognized for leading organizational transformation, executive coaching, talent strategy, and culture change across complex organizations.

Educational background

McSavaney holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Ottawa.
